I've been here many times over the last 7-8 years starting in their old original tiny building they started in a couple miles up the highway. This is one of only a couple of restaurants I would recommend without a single hesitation because they've never let me down. They have best barbecue in the area, large portions, & great service always!
Great place for barbecue near Davis. The sandwiches and sides are good and are good portion sizes. I recommend the sliced brisket sandwich and the potato salad. The service was good as well.
After hearing rave reviews and coming a long way for a family reunion, I was shocked by how subpar the meat was. The sausage was the only thing cooked right and not dried out, fatty or inedible. But! The sausage was so strong tasting, it wasn't even that good. The ribs were horrible. I cut so much fat off, it must have been a third of what you get. The rest was very chewy and overcooked on the ends. Again, shocked to see good reviews here. Family members all agreed that this was a major disappointment, especially considering the high price. The sides were good. Spring creek BBQ has this place BEAT hands down. Oh, and Joe's doesn't serve free water because someone complained about sulphur taste! Well, I guess a filter is out of the question! How convenient.
So good! I live in the DFW area and we have some good BBQ but nothing like this. I had the chicken basket. Best fries ever! The BBQ sauce was top rate and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Any time I come to Davis I will be stopping for some of this kickin BBQ!
Best barbecue in southern Oklahoma. A lot of food for the cost. Beware of the hot barbecue sauce, it sneaks up on you.
